Background information:
Russell Tringham has a tricky background, his father being a talented Muggleborn wizard who disappeared in the North seven years ago and his mother who is a half-blood. He is also one-fourth veela (from his grandmother of his mother's side). This resulted in a lot of teasing as a child though since he's matured, he has the last laugh as he attracts a lot of female attention...and to his chagrin, a few boys as well.
Russell is very talented in herbology and potions and he enjoys astronomy as well. He worries about his little brother Fletcher who is about to attend his first year...

Renji Abarai: A fifth-year Russell dislikes Renji very much mainly because he's good friends with Rukia (and for this reason, he calls him a lapdog). That and because of Renji's violent temper that usually targets him. For this reason, Russell is also usually a bit too afraid of Renji to provoke him lest he wind up in many pieces on the floor.
Edward Elric: Seen as a good rival by Russell. He respects his intellect but that does not stop him from making endless jokes about how short the 5th-year prodigy is.
Doremei Harukaze: A first year that has a crush on Russell and that Russell finds cute and amusing; like a puppy. He likes to give her treats on occasions and generally treats her very nicely.
Rabi: A fourth-year that shares Russell's interst in parties and women. Russell sees Rabi as a great person to hang out with and so he usually lets his practical jokes slide. Sometimes he does go a little too far, but generally, Russell enjoys his company. [DROPPED CHARACTER]

Kyosumi Sengoku: A fifth-year that Russell avoids now at all costs. Early on, he saw Sengoku as a flirt and dismissed it but when Sengoku's attention turned on him, things started getting awkward. No one knows this, but he's blackmailed Russell into going on a "date" with him in which he molested the poor blond boy. Needless to say, this guy creeps him out.
Ravenclaw
Yukari Hayasaka: A fellow 6th-year prefect that Russell admires and respects deeply. He thinks that she could do with a little more of a social life though. He often makes his night rounds with her and has numerous conversations with her, though he's usually the one doing most of the talking.
Uyrû Ishida: Fifth-year prefect that Russell thinks is a bit of a wimp but is a good person. He is a source of amusement whenever he discovers something new in life such as kisses and nudity. But he also serves as means to keep Russell sane when everyone else is busy being obnoxious.
Ian Fraker (original NPC): Possibly the most perverted student in the school and not afraid to show it. He is Russell's best friend and a fellow sixth-year. He does get on Russell's nerves a lot, especially when it comes to relationships and talks of sex but he does find comfort in talking to him late at night. He also makes it his duty to make sure Ian doesn't get into trouble for his crazy stunts though they are often partners-in-crime when it comes to small pranks.
Raven Shadow: Another fifth-year prefect that Russell teasingly nicknamed "Shads", much to her dismay. Russell often finds himself talking to Raven whenever he cannot speak to anyone else because he knows she would always simply listen instead of trying to shove advice down his throat or laugh at him. She is the voice of reason for him and he respects her a lot because of her calm personality and optimism despite the things she had endured in the past.
Kunimitsu Tezuka: The captain and keeper of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. Because Russell can't remember his name at all (for some reason, "Tezuka" never sticks in his mind), he often calls him "Toast", which greatly annoys the fourth-year. Russell often tries to get him to lighten up but nothing's really worked. He does find him a good person to talk to at times though, especially since he grows bonsais, a strange plant that he has never seen or heard of.
Fletcher Tringham: Russell's younger brother who has started his first year at Hogwarts. Russell is very very close to him and can be over-protective of him because of his innocence. He enjoys being a part of Fletcher's experience at Hogwarts and wants to do the best job a brother could do to help him along the way.

Seto Kaiba: Russell doesn't talk to this fifth-year ex-prefect a lot but he dislikes Kaiba because of his biting sarcasm and beacuse of his alliance with Rukia Kuchiki. He believes Kaiba is too emotional at times and often ridicules him for this. [DROPPED CHARACTER]
Rukia Kuchiki: Russell's number one enemy. He and Rukia, a fellow sixth-year and prefect, had never gotten along from the first time they "met" in the third year when Rukia tripped him in the hallway when she found out that he was part Veela. They've been fighting ever since, one taking revenge on the other over and over again. Russell firmly believes Rukia is psychotic, nice to everyone but him and that he alone can see her for how she truly is. They often compete against each other in every class they have together and this is a huge factor for why both of them have succeeded so well. In their fifth-year, Rukia revealed to a great number of students of his heritage and in retaliation, Russell uses his charms on her to make her kiss him in front of a large crowd (unknown to him, this was Rukia's first real kiss.). This year, the battles just grow fiercer without any sign of stopping any time soon though Ian and Fletcher seem to have other plans....
...Russell eventually gets into a relationship with Rukia after her sister Hisana passes away and is mixed up in the conspiricy of her family, once nearly forced to kill her while under the Imperius Curse. However, their believe in each other is only strengthened and Russell vows to never hurt her as their relationship grows deeper and becomes sexual as well. After a third attempt on her life, Rukia is forced to leave Hogwarts, leaving Russell behind though it is hinted that they do still continue to see each other in one form or the other.
